I love these rings but don't love the $3000 price tag. yikes!

Abby decided she is old enough for an alarm clock. She found an old little one of mine, had me help her set the time and show her how to set the alarm. So it went off at 4 am and Zac woke me up to go shut it off. She slept right through, however. And why can't I get back to sleep?

Funny.... we were all up about 3:30 this morning too. Gretta came and woke me up then I heard the radio on in the kitchen. Vaughn woke up too and went to check things out. The radio was off when we went to bed. It was very creapy. I couldn't get back to sleep and once I finally dozed off Jonah came in because he had had a nightmare. He told me about it (worms and bugs on the floor and then a spookey person with a beak-like nose and shark teeth in his room which he fought...)and then I was a little scared again too!! Uggg.. I finally got to sleep after 5am. why do kids suck away our sleep for the first ten years of their life? It seems that is when we need sleep the most.

Jonah has an alarm clock too that has gone off inn the middle of the night more than once. Not fun.

How'd you come across those rings? They are very cool. When I have an extra $3000 I'll buy you one because you are the best sister-in-law I know and I like you!

Those rings are totally cool.
And I do agree that kids take all the fun out of sleeping. One thing I never thought about was that I would NEVER BE ABLE TO SLEEP IN AGAIN!!! ...or at least until they are in high school. No matter what time we put Jake to bed, he's up at 6am!!! That must come from Scott! :) He's such a morning person.

When i'm up with the kids in the middle of the night I try to remember that pretty soon when Abby is 16 I'll be up because she isn't home from her date yet and I don't like the guy she is out with. Or she sneaked out. Or is late coming home.. So, i try to be glad that at least I know where they are.. but still makes me tired :)

maybe Tina knows about making some kinds of rings like that?

That is very positive and funny Emily! I will have to try it sometime. I have to admit that sometimes in the middle of the night Sasha is just so dang cute and smile-y that I don't mind being up so much.

And Kathy when I think of America's Top Model well... your ALL THAT!!!!!

Opps! I should have put my model comments under Kathy's reality show topic. Sorry I broke the rules!

i love those rings, but i could never make them. they are made using equipment i have no idea how to use--all computer done, i think. $3000 seems pretty high, but i do like them!

i woke up at 3:50 last night and never went back to sleep! i've been drinking coke all day to stay awake!

tonight i heard a mother of a high school kid say it gets worse when your kids are in h.s. for the exact reasons emily said! she was talking to shannon (berrett's sister) about nursing at night and said 'at least when you're up with her, you know where she is!' i think we won't sleep again until the kids move out.
