A Million Little Pieces

Hi ladies-

I don't know if you've been following...but Opera is getting called out for ceaselessly supporting the once deemed autobiographical writer who was exposed as a fictional phono. Don't know about your views, but below are two interesting articles of social commentary to enjoy. Love you.

I don't want to be too much of a bible-pounding, chest-beating soap-box stander but "Wo unto them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter." 2 Ne. 15: 20

Calling a lie "emotional truth" and everyone being okay with that shows what direction the world is going, doesn't it?

Interesting stuff, Nanc-

My bff Kate did write a scathing letter to Opera. Opera stands as an example, or a religion for some, and her opinion should not be some Hollywood whim.

I know you will forgive misspellings.

I think its funny to call Oprah Opera. We were talking the other night at my book club here about this. Someone said the author had tried to get it published as a novel at one point and failed but as a memoir succeeded.

This happened awhile ago with a woman who was from Cuba I think. She wrote her memoirs of a really hard life there. It was a big lie.
It has also happened with a pretty famous artist who claimed he was Native American. He made a ton of money on his "Indian Art". Turns out he was just a big white guy who wanted to make some money. I'm sure this happens way more than we ever know!
