Hi Everyone,
Happy Valentine's Day! I hate to push mom's cute Valentine's creations down but I thought this was important. I just emailed you all this but just in case, I thought that I would put it here too. I sent it to a ton of people so if you want to respond, just respond to me not to "Respond to Everyone" I don't even think you can do that with a BCC, blind carbon copy.
Just a internet warning:
Last week I received an email saying it was from "Yahoo Phone". It was sent in my "Bulk" file and since I have Yahoo I get real emails from them in my regular Inbox. Anyway, I opened it up and it said that I was going to get charged for a new phone service from Yahoo. Instead of really looking it over and thinking about what I was doing, I thought "Hey! I didn't sign up for this!" So I followed a link given in the email. There was another link that said if I didn't sign up for this I should click on this different link. I ended up giving my email account WITH my PASSWORD. The second I finished this very rash thing, I knew I had made a mistake. Scott said this is called "Phishing" pronounced "fishing".
A few days later, I received an email from ebay warning me that a third party was trying to access one of our ebay accounts. Thank goodness for ebay! I quickly changed my yahoo account password and ebay's password (and any OTHER password we have since I was worried)
That's all the damage so far, luckily nothing with our finances and nothing permanent. Now we are on high alert and checking our credit card and checking accounts a few times a day. But I just thought that I would warn you all. Just be careful about that kind of thing. I should have trusted what I felt at first and not just rushed though a bad reaction.
I hope this might help you! Kathy
