uh-oh

Simon just this week has progressed from his haphazard army crawl/doing the wave/pushing with his feet to get around moves to full on, real crawling. He looks like a little robot baby because his moves are so precise, as if he were thinking, "left knee, right hand, right hand, left knee". We all love to watch him....however! He is also pulling himself up onto everything and standing. Ugg! He could barely sit up on his own last week. He just doesn't know what to do. Take this for instance. Doesn't this just scream "faceplant to the wall!! Help!" We saved him.
Or this. He is pulling stuff off the sofa (which is supposed to be out of reach). See the slow leaning over? If he isn't falling to the side then it is a big thud backwards. We try to save him.

The piano bench just makes me cringe thinking about it. See. He is even nervous in this picture, as if to say, "now what?" We put all the sofa pillows around to try and save him. I'm doubtful, though.

Dang. How do we all survive? It sure is an amazing process.
PS. Don't you just love his squishy marshmellow feet?
I also posted on the food blog.

I always thought they should sell little baby helmets for this stage. Also, when they learn to stand up my kids were always crawling under the table and pulling up on the chairs and then bonking their heads on the underneath of the table.

He's so cute! Wish we could meet him in person before he goes off to college.

I love these types of series of photos. As a scrapper, I can see a great scrapbook layout here. I have something like this for Jake. That one from behind makes me laugh so much. I can't believe he's growing so fast. Cameron is right behind him...well, I mean, he's not crawling or rolling at all but that's why it's weird, because all that stuff seems to come on so fast.

Anyway, great pictures!
