ABQ is fun...really!

Okay, so Stephanie and I didn't take ANY pictures of our little vacation with each other! Can you believe that?! Me being big and pregnant and Steph with little baby Simon, remembering a camera wasn't super high on our list BUT here are a few highlights.

Okay, for those who don't have Hobby Lobby, (or as I like to call it "Horby Lorby") and you're a craft-ster, it's a must. Steph got this really cute lime green utensil holder for her kitchen and a big "H"...for something...I can't remember for what... maybe for "Hottie" or "Hoochie" or "Hey, you!" :)
We also went on the longest tram in the WORLD. Yes, that's right, in the WORLD. Very cool, and when I say that, I mean, literally really cool or freezing. It was a nice day but we have lots of wind here in Albuquerque, especially on top of a high mountain. When you guys all come one day we'll have to do this again...except for Vaughn because he's apparently afraid of heights. Ironic, huh?
Steph and I decided it might be good that we don't all live by each other because we'd all get super fat from the food we want to make each other or the restaurants we want to eat at. This is one that's a known ABQ chain. Dion's pizza is really good and fairly cheap. We got 3 10" gourmet pizzas (bbq chicken, a margarita type, and one with pine nuts, artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes, YUM!), some bread and a salad for about 25 bucks! You can't beat that and they taste great too! We did miss one spot that is very NEW Mexican (not just Mexican): a restaurant called Sadies. Maybe next time.
A super fun place to go is Old Town Albuquerque, sort of like Old Sac but with a center plaza and more Latin-feeling, of course. When Mom comes, she MUST go to this one Catholic-folk art-day-of-the-day shop. Very interesting with SO much to look at. Steph and I did pass through there and also hit one of my favorites: The Candy Lady, a tiny candy store. We got some fudge for Vaughn and these delicious chocolate covered candied apricots and oranges and some chocolate coated sponge candy. Yummy! We also went to this great bead store with fabulous, inexpensive beads. So great! With the help of Tina on our cell phone from Horby Lorby, we made some necklaces! Very cool stuff. Tina, you'd would love it.

So those are some highlights. Doesn't it make you all want to come here? :) There are some things to do here. I promise. Hey! New Mexico is called the "Land of Enchantment", thank you very much! Well, there's a bed...or floor space for you whenever you come. :)

Hey, Cecy!

Yes, you better miss Albuquerque! :) There are some fun little things around here. California is really cool, though. There's SO MUCH to do where you are.
