Received this picture on the internet a few days ago. We've been pondering a lot about the
choices or lack of choices, that we have in this political climate. I love this country and hope
that our new president will to. This picture to me is "worth a thousand words."

Sometimes I don't know if these photos are true or not, but this one is- there is a whole bunch of info about it over at

I'm glad the Clintons are not going to be in the White House- Bill got up to enough hijinks while he was supposed to be busy being president- imagine what trouble he would get into being in the White House with nothing to do.
it's funny to have this funk-a-rific template with a little bitter politics on top.
so, mom, who are you voting for?
Uh, oh.. was I bitter? I know some people are really enjoying this campaign process and talking about how ground breaking it is, but all the candidates scare me in one form or another. None of them are conservative enough for me. I'm just ready for it to be over.
So, Tina, who are you voting for?
;0)
I dont think anyone was bitter. I dont love either of them either. I just want our country to be protected and I want them to leave us alone after that. I dont want to be taken care of--I just want to be able to care of myself. The government makes that extremely difficult, especially for a small business owner.... enough for now.
no, no! i didn't think anyone was bitter. i shouldn't have used that word. i was really just talking about the picture--when that's the first thing a visitor would see, they would think 'oh, a bitter republican.'
This election will be an interesting one. If McCain is smart (okay, that's questionable) he'll add Romney for VP. That would make me feel a whole lot better about him. Although, how much influence do VP's have, anyway?
I do think it's interesting that this year has brought two people seriously to a primary election that haven't been able to before but that doesn't trump how I feel about the values a president should have no matter what sex or color or religion.
I appreciate the website that Emily directed me to- about this picture. (See comment #1) I was curious about why they were saluting the flag. The salute was being made during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. I am not thrilled with either candidate for office this year- Democrat or Republican. But I am concerned about their loyalty to this country, to its values, and traditions.
I am not bitter or even pessimistic about the future of our country. I am just tired of months of promises and rhetoric. Enough said.
Love this country….Love you all, mom
