Zac's busy weekend

BEFORE

AND AFTER

Zac has had a busy weekend. His cousin Emma got baptized on Saturday and she asked her brother Henry and Zac to give the talks. They did a great job- don't they look stylin' in their suits? However, pretty much immediately after he started feeling sick and by Sunday morning it was clear something was not right. This is a photo of him today- do you know you can get Chicken pox even if you have had the vaccine? What fun! He will miss the rest of the school year and is one pretty itchy kid. Yikes!

Oh no!!! What is the point of the vaccine anyway? Jonah got chicken pox while in Pennslyvania once and he had had the vaccine too. We talked to the airlines about switching our tickets but they would charge us about $100 each ticket so we flew home anwyay. Jonah had had his chicken pox only a few days.

On a side note, I have decided to not vaccinate Simon until he is two. I have known several people whose children have forms of autism and have talked to some friends who work with autistic kids and their is just too many links between shots and autism for me to take the chance. It is much higher in boys. I'm still doing research but I think I'm waiting.

I love that photo of Zac! It really shows how much he looooves having chicken pox.

How weird about the vaccination! I don't get it!

Zac, not scratchy!

p.s. are you guys all good with this template?

I meant to write "NO, scratchy."

I had to beg him to let me take his photo- the first day he told me no. He is very embarrassed especially by the ones on his face. So he was humoring me.

I'm good with this template. Poor Zac! p.s. I'm anti-vaccination before two...or perhaps even later. Jenny McCarthy was on some morning show today with main squeeze Jim Carrey. I was watching at the gym, so I didn't get the full deets, but from what I gathered, she blames autism on vaccinations and is a big believer in an organic diet reversing elements of autism in her son. Many people disagree, but we know so little about the matter that I think it's interesting to explore different avenues.

I have two friends whose children have degrees of autism and they are doing a strict diet (also gluten free for part) and it seems to be helping. I'll have to explain more later but there is definitely a link between shots and autism. Why not just wait a little longer and spread them out a bit?
