We had a simple but nice Fourth this year. We went to the Church's pancake breakfast and kid's parade at the park. When we came home I got a really nice two hour nap with Simon!! I was putting him to sleep when I thought I'll just lay down for a bit...for some reason no one woke me up. Wow, it was so nice. Mom and Dad came over for a delicious BBQ-- cheese burgers, roasted asparagus, onions and red and yellow peppers, Caesar salad and hot fudge cake and ice cream. Don't you love simple and tasty meals? We then went to our friends to watch some fireworks. Jonah sure liked lighting them! Simon did not love them but once Vaughn held him and covered his ears he fell right to sleep. All in all it was a good day. It sounded like you all had a good day too.

Sounds like a good day! Zac had gone with my parents down to visit his cousin for the weekend, so only Abby and Nick went downtown to see Nancy & Robert- they saw WallE, then out to lunch and then the fireworks. Max and I hung out here and it was very low key- even got him to bed an hour early. (no photos of our restful day)

we had a great day, too. i posted some pictures on facebook and my other blog. i'll add them here, too, since they seem more appropriate here...i don't know what i was thinking.
where's kathy? i've called her several times, but she's never there! is she in utah now?

Yes, I'm back! We were there for 2 weeks, which is sort of a long time but we made it that way because Scott went out of town for a few days and since we were already there, he flew in and out of Las Vegas while I got to hang out with Scott's sister in Pine Valley. Way more fun (and less scary) than kicking it here by myself.
I can't get over how much Gretta looks like Jonah. Cute cute kids!
