Halloween Festivities Thus Far

Here are some photos of the Pumpkin "patch" we went to this year. It is actually a farmer's market but they have tons of great pumpkins and squash. Don't you love how Gretta and Sasha matched their clothes down to the black boots? Pretty stylin'!
Did you have Trunk or Treat last night where you live? We did! It was packed and the candy was gone pretty fast but it was still good times when you get lots of candy.
We had a minor problem while the kids were getting their cotumes on at mom and dad's house though. Gretta decided that she did not want to wear the parrot costume that we had planned for and brought with us. Have you ever tried to be patient and try and convince your child into something but still "let it be their choice"? Their was no convincing her into the parrot suit and she was nearly ready to not go at all, when I finally said we could stop by our house on the way to the church since Simon needed warmer clothes. She could have two minutes to find a new costume. So a princess was born! To go with a kitty cat and a grim reaper.

love these pictures! your parrot story is very funny! it reminds me of a time lila insisted on being grapes and refused to wear the costume i made for her. kids are so cute.

i'm still working on our costumes--our trunk-or-treat is this wednesday.
