School and Light Sabers

Jake's First Day of School! Too cute!

Getting on the bus while I start to sob.

Jacob asked me for a lightsaber cake for his 6th birthday so I made this cake. When he saw it, he was so excited to see it. He loved it! After he checked it out for a minute or two he said, "I thought that you were going to make a regular round cake with a little lightsaber on it." Well, that would have been a lot easier, huh?

It took all day to make this cake but I had fun doing it. This was the first time that I had used fondant and though there were some mistakes I was really happy with it.

Happy Birthday, Jacob!

SO SO SO GREAT!!! I love the cake and would have loved to see in the process pics. Is it on a board?? Jake is probably the most clean cut kid in his class. That snazzy missionary haircut! Too cute...and a little sad too.

Kathy...awesome cake. Lucky kid to have a cake like that. And, Jake looks so cute on his first day of school. It's hard day for me, when my kids head to school. Man, it's hard to see them grow up and know there is nothing you can do about it. We miss you lady!
