i'm finishing Pope Joan right now. Have you read that, Emily? It's very interesting. I'm in another book club and the next book we're reading is The History of Love. I can read The Hiding Place quickly though. It's not very long.
Well, I am reading Jane Austen's Persuasion for the book club here. It is the "classic" choice for this year. I'll have to post the books we picked for the whole year so maybe some could coincide.
I may have read the Hiding Place but it was so long ago I can't remember it, so I am up for it too.
I better get off my bum and stop watching TV at night and get on my bum and start reading!
I've read it before, but it's a great book. If people want to read something similar, but different Victor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning is a great one too.

Do you think it is dark? I mean, it IS but I pull it out and quote it for ever sacrament talk or lesson I've ever had to give, I think

They are both pretty short, as I recall. How about Hiding Place by Jan 30, Man's Search For Meaning by Feb 30?
